SERIO’S STORY
Owners, Alex and Dorene, didn’t know it at the time, but Serio’s was technically born on February 14, 2008. However, the love affair with dessert pizza started long before.
When Alex was four years old his mom would pick him up from preschool and take him to a local pizza place a few times a week (though Alex will swear it was every day).
This pizza place was different though, special - they had dessert pizza. What he remembers most is getting chocolate chip pizza every time they went. Fast forward to 6th grade, the year Alex and Dorene met and the year eating chocolate chip pizza was no longer an after-school snack, but a competition between adolescent boys.
In 2007, Dorene and Alex started dating. And after the countless times he asked to get chocolate chip pizza, she decided to find a way to make it for him.
On February 14, 2008, from a gesture of love, the Serio’s Chocolate Chip Pizza was born.
In 2013, Alex and Dorene got engaged. And what did he propose with? You guessed it, chocolate chip pizza. Another act of love, another chocolate chip pizza.

You know those nights you just don’t want to cook so you pick something up or you order something in like, I don’t know, pizza? Well, it was one of those nights for Dorene and Alex. They were sitting with family, all wanting chocolate chip pizza, but didn’t want to have to go through the process of making it. After searching and realizing this wan’t something people could readily buy, the lightbulb moment came, and they set out on a pursuit.
They spent time perfecting the recipe and the presentation and using a family name, created Serio’s. After years of love, they are excited to share their family favorite with you and yours.
